Notes 0006

By Alex on September 16, 2021

Quick notes from twitter space with Gary Vee and gmoney on September 15th, 2021. This post does not constitute an endorsement of the ideas/statements herein.

  • Gary says the good projects are still wildly underpriced
  • Says Curio Cards are underpriced
  • VeeFriends underpriced
  • Says he’s going to spend his life making sure holders win
  • Too many people confused, obsessed with financial aspect, being day traders. Need more conversations about what the tech can do.
  • Too many people chasing a moment that has already passed – wants people to be thoughtful
  • Likes everyone’s art. People need to stop shitting on each other’s projects. We’re a collective.
  • Bets on the jockey, the founders. Thinking in terms of 10+ years with things.
  • Likes Creature World, believes in Danny Cole.
  • A lot of projects overpriced right now.
    • Is comfortable with the pricing of VeeFriends because he’s confident in his ability to grow over next 30 years. Uncomfortable with price of many projects.
  • So much money printed during covid – so much money in the system.
  • Tries to support artists he likes and wants to see succeed.
  • Reasons he did Christies + VeeFriends
    • helps build value for holders
    • knew it would drive his parents “insane”.
  • If you can’t drive story and interest in the characters, you will lose.
    • If you can’t, people will go elsewhere, put their time and money into other projects
    • Community and brand building are absolutely essential
  • This is a special time. And the mentality that people can manipulate short term financial ROI is making everyone miss the much bigger thing that’s happening.
